Week 6 of daily fantasy basketball is officially in the books! Here are some random thoughts looking forward to Week 7:
Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger & Co: If only Rondo could shoot a jumper. For daily fantasy basketball purposes, any team playing the Celtics should be targeted because of their face pace style. There’s not one player on this roster that players 36+ minutes a game.
Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez & Co: This team is worthless. AVOID. Just joking, if Kevin Garnett ever sits again be sure you play Teletovic. Other than that, the only players worth playing on this roster are Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez.
Carmelo Anthony, Jose Calderon, Amare Stoudemire & Co: The awakening of Amare Stoudemire is upon us. Keep your eye on him. As for the Knicks backcourt positions, it’s a disaster. AVOID.
Michael Carter-Williams & Co: IT’S A MIRACLE. Congrats Philly! With Wroten and Shved out, MCW should be a lock on every given night. With the inconsistency of the roster not named MCW, K.J. McDaniels is making a splash. If it wasn’t for Brett Brown… I’d consider him on most nights Philly plays.
Kyle Lowry, Demar Derozan, Jonas Valanciunas & Co: As long as Derozan is out… Kyle Lowry is a must play in all formats. His daily fantasy basketball value will probably skyrocket. Vasquez value took a spike upward, still a decent play on most nights.
Dirk Nowiztki, Monta Ellis, Tyson Chandler & Co: Keep tabs on when Dirk Nowitzki rests. Aminu is a nice sneaky cheap play when he’s out.
James Harden, Trevor Ariza, Dwight Howard & Co: Next to Anthony Davis, James Harden is the best daily fantasy basketball player through all formats, especially without D12. Ariza is a great supporting cast, don’t sleep on him.
Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley & Co: With the minor knee scare with Gasol, keep tabs on him. He’s still a strong play most nights, but that surgically repaired knee may hurt you at any night. Even then, for daily fantasy basketball purposes, Grizzlies style of basketball is much too slow.
Anthony Davis, Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday & Co: Davis has officially gone… COLD… FREEZING… LIVING IN ANTARCTICA. He is too overpriced, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play him.
Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard & Co: When the “Big 3” rests, keep tabs on everyone on that roster. They are all cheap risky players, but high reward players.
Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol & Co: As bad as this sounds, I’m counting down the days until we see Derrick Rose will come down with an injury. If he can go the rest month without an injury, I’ll be much surprised. On another note, Pau Gasol is a beast. His value shouldn’t take a hit with the return of Taj Gibson and it seems like the Bulls are being extra cautious with Joakim Noah.
Lebron James, Kyrie Iriving, Kevin Love & Co: The King has risen. It’s nice to see the Cavaliers winning for a change. They just needed a few games to adjust.
Brandon Jennings, Josh Smith, Andre Drummond & Co: Speechless. They suck.
David West, Roy Hibbert & Co: They are not the same Indiana Pacers team and a big reason for that could be because Paul George is sidelined for the year. Oh, and Lance Stephenson plays for the Charlotte Chumpcats.
Jabari Parker, Brandon Knight, Larry Sanders & Co: I’m still waiting for the day when Larry Sanders breaks out of his funk. Jabari Parker is a very promising 19 year old that will probably be a star in this league.
Ty Lawson, Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried, Timothy Mozgov & Co: I still wonder when Faried will breakout. Seems unlikely at the moment due to back issues. J.J. Hickson is a great plug and play option for daily fantasy basketball.
Mo Williams, Andrew Wiggins, Thaddeus Young & Co: I just don’t know where to begin. I’d say they are the worst team in the league and it’s probably because they lost to Philly. Pathetic.
Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson, Serge Ibaka & Co: Welcome back Durantula! That is all.
Damian Lillard, Nicolas Batum, Lamarcus Aldridge & Co: As expected, Dame cooled off and Lamarcus Aldridge will continue to be the beast that he is. LMA does well in high pace or slower pace games, either way he should always be a great play.
Trey Burke, Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors & Co: I still stand with the fact that everyone should keep away from Enes Kanter, he DOES NOT play defense. Why would any coach want to play a center that doesn’t play defense?
Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap, Al Horford & Co: Sap is the closest thing to consistency on this roster. Everyone else is question mark.
Kemba Walker, Lance Stephenson, Al Jefferson & Co: To think that this team would have a good season. What a joke. Everyone on that roster not named Kemba Walker is a joke so far this season.
Mario Chalmers, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh & Co: Could Dwayne Wade be returning to form? We shall find out…
Victor Oladipo, Tobias Harris, Nikola Vucevic & Co: It’s contract year for Tobias Harris and from what I’ve seen… he’s going to take any opportunity to make something happen. He has continued to play well and I fully expect him to take charge in the offense while Vucevic is out with back problems.
John Wall, Bradley Beal, Marcin Gortat & Co: Bradley is overvalued and Wall is too inconsistent for me to ever pick him again. For my daily fantasy basketball team, I doubt I’ll ever pick Beal.
Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Bogut & Co: Curry is starting to become a bit overvalued. This team is the best they’ve been in years and to think they still have David Lee out with an injury is quite scary.
Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan & Co: Blake Griffin folks. My goodness.
Kobe Bryant & Co: Kobe Bryant could very well pass Michael Jordan in the All-Time scoring list. What an honor Mamba.
Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, Gerald Green & Co: Bledsoe is probably the only for sure player among this backcourt. Although, Thomas was out the past few games nursing his ankle injury. He should be returning soon, so beware of some inconsistency with this backcourt.
Darren Collison, Rudy Gay, Demarcus Cousins & Co: This team is a DISASTER without DMC. DC and RG look quite impressive without their star big man.
